The Global Space Workforce Development Association (GSWDA) was born from the visionary journey of Dr. Lisa “TheLandstronaut” Alcindor, a trailblazer in the space industry and one of fewer than ten melanated women to achieve astronaut candidacy as of 2023. With over 13 years of experience in space acquisition and strategic development, Lisa led multi-billion-dollar initiatives involving NASA, NATO, the U.S. Air Force, and the Pentagon.
Driven by innovation and the need to facilitate a lifestyle of futurism from Land to Space™, Lisa founded Landstronaut®, a corporation aimed at enhancing human survivability in extreme environments and creating opportunities for global communities in space exploration. Her work emphasized the importance of building a diverse talent pipeline and inspiring future generations to see themselves in space.
